Research on our school communities can help us advocate for effective school health programs. This free webinar will provide participants with insight into the process of conducting health education research, using findings and insights from the New York City Public Schools project as a framework. From 2021-2023, New York City Public Schools partnered with an external evaluator to produce an evidence base for the relationship between specific health education practices in the district and student health outcomes. Participants will learn about the four key health education practices that emerged from this evaluation, and their associations with population-level student health outcomes. Presenters will share their process for partnership development, analysis plan development and resulting key findings, and dissemination planning.

• Learn how to identify and develop potential meaningful partnerships
• Consider strategies for disseminating research findings with various audiences, including stakeholders and policymakers who can support health education in your district
