How Right Now: Addressing the Urgent Mental Health and Emotional Well-being Concerns Among K-12 Teachers and School Staff

How Right Now (HRN) is a communications campaign that aims to address the mental health needs of groups disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with a current focus on K-12 teachers and school staff. This presentation will provide an overview of HRN’s formative work and the development of tailored mental health tools and resources.

Learning Objectives:

• At the end of the session, participants will be able identify at least 3-5 potential solutions and strategies to help promote the mental health and emotional well-being of school staff.

• At the end of the session, participants will be able to describe the process of conducting mixed methods formative work to develop tailored messages that support mental health, emotional well-being and coping strategies of teachers and school staff.
