Take Action for Adolescents – A Call to Action for Adolescent Health and Well-Being
September 23rd 2026, 1:00-2:00pm ET
Adolescence and young adulthood (ages 10-24) are critical stages in developmental and social trajectories. Recognizing that many young people’s needs were not being met by previous initiatives, the Partnership for Women’s Children’s and Adolescents Health (PMNCH) launched a global Call to Action for Adolescent Health and Well-Being in May 2023 that resulted in commitments from many countries. The U.S. commitment, “Take Action for Adolescents – A Call to Action for Adolescent Health and Well-Being” (referred to as “Take Action”), has gotten very little traction since its launch in October 2023. Anecdotal feedback has revealed that awareness of Take Action and implementation of its tenets is limited. Take Action is a starting point and guide for how to educate others and establish common goals for all stakeholders to work toward. Educators, administrators, school health professionals, and support staff are ideally positioned to respond to this Call to Action and make an impact on adolescent health and well-being. They bring expertise, real world perspective, research evidence, and compelling stories that can inform how schools will develop, adapt, and implement Take Action. This webinar will equip participants with a greater understanding of Take Action and the science and data that underpins this important framework. Participants will be able to use Take Action to support school health and well-being in their own states and communities. Learning Objectives:
